Ballymore is expected to produce up to 75,000 gross barrels of oil per day through three wells tied back three miles to the existing Chevron-operated Blind Faith facility.

FGP is the third processing plant in operation at the Tengiz oil field, which expands sour gas injection capability and is expected to ramp up output to one million barrels of oil equivalent per day.

The milestone is Chevron’s latest following a year when it achieved first production from its industry-first high-pressure Anchor project.

The upgraded facility is expected to increase product flexibility and expand the processing capacity of lighter crudes by nearly 15 percent to 125,000 barrels per day.

In June, the Chevron-operated Tahiti Field produced its 500 millionth barrel of oil equivalent, enough oil to power 11.5 million homes for one year.

Delivery of these two projects contributes toward growing production to 300,000 net barrels of oil equivalent per day in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico by 2026.

The permit award provides further opportunity for Chevron to deliver on its strategy of safely delivering lower carbon energy to a growing world.     .
